Conference Policies

At ScrippsMUN, our number one priority is to make the conference as enjoyable and rewarding as possible for all delegates. To do that, we ask that all delegates follow a few, simple guidelines. Thank you for your cooperation!

01

Delegates should conduct themselves with dignity and show respect for fellow delegates. Both spoken and written messages should be appropriate and respectful. Harassment based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, etc. is strictly prohibited and may result in a delegate being ineligible for awards or being removed from the conference.

02

Delegates should follow all directions from Secretariat members, Chairs, or staffers.

03

Delegates should dress in Western business attire (ie. suits and ties, black or brown dress shoes or high heels, etc).

04

Delegates' research and work should be their own. The use of external resources such as the Internet is strongly encouraged, but plagiarism is not, and may disqualify delegates from earning awards. In addition, the prewriting of resolutions is not allowed, but the brainstorming of operatives beforehand is permitted and encouraged.

05

Delegates should make sure to submit all position papers on-time, contact their committee's head chair if they are in need of an extension, and provide a valid reason if their papers are submitted late.

06

Delegates should treat the campus grounds with respect.
